In this room, you can talk to a Rodian named B'ree who will sell you many weapons and give you lots of information as well. In either case, go further down the corridor, go left and you'll eventually come to a wide open room with a shopkeeper and some other locals. He'll cower down and let them go in that case. If you want Light Side points, you can tell him that you're Darth Revan (he won't believe you, but whatever), you can persuade him that they aren't worth his time, or you can straight out tell him that you'll kill him. If you want Dark Side points, you can recommend a kind of torture to him. He'll recommend all sorts of punishments for them. He'll ask them questions and call them weak because, to be blunt, their answers are not evil enough.

A cutscene will stop you short when three young Sith Academy hopefuls are being verbally assaulted by a Sith Jedi. Work your way inside the door to the corridor there.
